“Roba” is an air-purifying product that absorbs smoke from cooking and removes harmful ingredients. It is usually placed in front of an induction to suck up smoke as close as possible to food. We worked hard to solve this complex function effectively.
We tried to create a friendly look with minimal formative elements to fit into a modern kitchen and bring out the emotional feeling. Each joint is designed so that most parts can be handled concisely in cylinders while functionally working perfectly.
Flexible and concise movements were needed to take the inlet close to cooking food. “Roba” consists of three movements: a height-adjustable pillar, an axis that can rotate in all directions, and an axis that can bend the head, making it easy to change directions whenever a person cooks.
Roba’s two legs are at the heart of the design. Simple, thin, but hard metal is at a 90-degree angle, reliably supporting the weight and keeping the product as close as possible to the induction.
