‘Alpaca’ aimed to take a unique approach in the burgeoning shared bicycle industry. They needed a new bicycle design that aligned with their young, technological, and friendly brand image.
The goal was to seamlessly blend the technological aspects of the electric bike with the charming and approachable Alpaca brand image, creating a fresh look. This required the development of an entirely new framework.
The monitor is designed in an oval shape, giving it a friendly appearance. It is composed of easily replaceable parts, ensuring straightforward maintenance even with frequent damage.
Like many shared bicycles, we needed to find novelty within the common framework, addressing durability, risk of damage, and ease of post-service.
The overall bicycle frame features simple yet soft curves, aligning with the Alpaca brand image to create a flexible, voluminous, and robust structure.
Instead of concealing the battery, the core of the shared bicycle, within the frame, we boldly exposed it. This design choice not only emphasizes the electric bicycle’s technical aspects but also enhances its unique character.
